Teen Creates Website to Encourage Budding Writers

Meet Akshaj, a 13 year-old who has been writing since he was just four. We first met Akshaj when his second book, E-tron was published and were impressed with his passion for writing. Now, just a few years later, this NP3 Middle School student has already written six books and four of them have been published!

Akshaj loves to write, but he has also found a way to give back to the community doing what he loves. All of his book proceeds have been donated to local charities including; Sacramento Children’s Home, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Reading Partners Sacramento and Stanford Settlement Teen Center.

We’ve enjoyed getting updates over the years as he continues to write and immerse himself in community projects. Recently Akshaj has started a website, WriteToLead.com. He shares, “I am very passionate about reading and writing. And it’s this passion that I’d like to pass on to other kids and provide them with an opportunity to share their voices and creative writing through the site.”

WriteToLead.com is a safe and positive platform for kids 8 to 16 years old who are rising story tellers, movie critics or article writers that are looking to express themselves.”I am sure we all agree that writing is a magical medium through which we communicate, connect and can be creative. I have been fortunate enough to have my books, articles and stories published on various websites and newspapers across the USA and India,” states Akshaj. He continues, “I want to give that same feeling of pride and confidence to other kids. I want to encourage budding writers to share their work on this website.”

When Akshaj is not studying, writing or helping in community service projects, he enjoys biking and hiking with his family. He also loves to play piano. We have a feeling the future will remain bright for this young teen.
